There's been a flurry of activity over on fps -- I've been working like crazy to catch up on the backlog. Most notable is an interview I did with Ralph Bakshi, director of cult animated films like Heavy Traffic, Coonskin, Fritz the Cat, Fire and Ice, American Pop, and Wizards. The interview itself was a hell of a lot of fun, but there were two parts where I lost my cool. Not in the sense of getting angry, but of getting too relaxed as an interviewer. I ended up asking two question the wrong way, both with explosive results that knocked things off-kilter. The first one was near the beginning of the interview, but I excised it because it killed the flow. The second was when I asked him about Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings.
